What is Pauseture?

Pauseture is a mobile app with guided audio lessons that help you move with more ease. Through gentle, mindful movement, you’ll interrupt old habits, reduce tension, and improve how your brain and body work together.Over time, you’ll notice better posture, mobility, and nervous system regulation—without needing to copy anyone else’s poses.

Think of it as a two-for-one

Some lessons feel like movement-based meditation—often lying down, slowing your breath, and calming your nervous system. Others are seated or more upright and help you learn smoother, more efficient everyday movement.Either way, you finish feeling more grounded, with better posture, less tension, and a stronger sense of well-being.

The Science Behind How This Works

Pauseture offers Feldenkrais® Awareness Through Movement® lessons taught by Guild Certified Feldenkrais PractitionersCM®. These gentle, guided lessons improve interoception—supporting neuroplasticity, the brain’s capacity to learn and change.

Through slow, mindful movement, your nervous system relaxes and your whole body learns more efficient options for everyday actions. Over time, this can reduce tension, improve posture and mobility, and help you feel more at ease in yourself—both physically and mentally.

Is this like meditation, yoga or Pilates?

Think of it as mindful movement.
Some lessons feel like meditation with movement—often lying down, calming your system, and connecting to your breath. Other lessons are seated or more upright and help you learn smoother, easier ways to move in daily life.

You’ll explore small, gentle changes that help your nervous system discover options that feel better. There’s no right or wrong—just curiosity. You might ask yourself: Could this feel even a little easier?

As your brain learns what feels good, your body naturally begins to choose those easier patterns more often. That’s neuroplasticity—your brain’s ability to form new connections. Because pain and stress are processed in the nervous system, shifting those patterns makes comfort and ease more possible.

Is it like chiropractic work?

We share a similar goal: helping your body feel more aligned and comfortable. Chiropractic care often uses hands-on adjustments to influence the nervous system and improve how joints move.

Pauseture approaches alignment through learning. Instead of someone adjusting you, you explore gentle movements that help your muscles coordinate better and reduce unnecessary tension. When your system learns easier ways to move, your posture can improve and your body can self-organize more naturally—without force.

Can this help with physical therapy?

Yes. Many people use Pauseture along with physical therapy. These lessons help you notice how you move and feel what’s happening in your body.

You might start to see how your foot affects your shoulder—or how hip pain connects to the other side of your body. This kind of whole-body awareness can support long-term healing and better movement habits.

Is it like neurofeedback or biofeedback?

We share the same goal: a calmer, more balanced nervous system. But instead of using machines to track brainwaves or muscle tension, Pauseture uses movement and rest—guided by words, not screens.

Biofeedback and neurofeedback use sensors to show what’s happening inside you. Pauseture helps you feel it directly. The feedback isn’t a graph—it’s what you notice in your own body.

Many people say Pauseture helps with sleep, stress, ADHD, and chronic tension—just like biofeedback or neurofeedback. But it’s more hands-on, self-guided, and easy to stick with—because it’s affordable, at-home, and doesn’t require expensive machines or appointments.

If neurofeedback gives your brain a mirror, Pauseture gives it a map.
